Swissland to Sambaland

Well after almost a month in the tranquil mountains of Switzerland, it is somehow a pleasure to be back on the beat up streets of Sao Paulo. Having said that - as much as I love big bad cities, and always will, this is the first time I have really been able to appreciate Switzerland. Switzerland to me has always been a boring place full of boring people, but on this trip I found I really relished the atmosphere there. Peace, time for reflection, and the most beautiful winter scenery I have witnessed in my travels to date. Oh and did I mention clean, fresh, air? My thorough enjoyment of my time there has not marred my feelings and attachment to Sao Paulo, though. Re-entry plans: BBQ, Caipirinias, the Padaria, a trip to my friendly wax woman, and - well - of course the SAMBA bar!
